Thanks for checking in... I know you're tired of the old posts, and look forward to some new shots. I'm working on that- With the new camera, I've filled the space in my hard drive and am in the process of moving my pictures to a new hard drive so I can download the new ones. Check back soon, we'll have some new shots next week!

Carousel

What trip to Santa Cruz would be complete without a visit to the Boardwalk? It's the off season, so there were no lines for the carousel, or the haunted house, where Zoe jumped at ghouls, but held it together!

Seabright Brewery

We took a little trip to Santa Cruz to get out of town. After a few stops and a long drive, we were hungry for dinner (on a Friday night at dinnertime, with a toddler). We settled on the Seabright Brewery, thinking it would be a good choice for families. It turned out to be a great idea. There were only tables left on the patio, but the heatlamps were warm as was the service, and a good band played live inside. Zoe loved the live music, applauding after the songs and waving to the band through the window.
It seems that Zoe's super finiky stage is a thing of the past. She has been sampling daddy's dinners all week and so far had chicken, omelet, ravioli and steak! Go Zoe!

First Sunset

Zoe and I explored LA beaches on the first day of the year. We drove down to Venice, Santa Monica, Pac Pali, and discovered that the best beaches around were the onces in our own backyard. So we clicked our heels three times, and came home.
And waiting for us was a technicolor sunset, a good friend and pockets full of sand.
