Zoe borrowed a book on tape from the school library... because she needs to enjoy books in yet another incarnation. I really don't want to hear the book, so remembered that I had an old CD Walkman upstairs. We put in new batteries, and shazam! It works. Then I introduced her to the joy of doing two things at once- coloring and 'reading' at the same time. Decadence. It's good to be 9.

Studio Saturdays

All week Zoe looks forward to her new favorite thing- Saturday afternoon studio time at The Dimond Mine. It a great studio run by a couple of fresh faced art school grads who are young enough to think they can change the world with some clay and paint. I can't think of another goal more admirable, so Zoe has been going every week. This week, we took her BFF Thalia, too.
