Burger Stop in Salinas. Zoe has birthdays on the brain, and made a birthday burger for Julian.
A leg stretching and potty stop near Santa Barbara. It feels good to get off our buns and put our toes in the sand.
A 9 hour road trip to LA is a tough leg for any kid- but these guys do it a few times a year at least. We have developed our own little system with some books, some toys, some munchies, some naps, and some fun pit stops. The last hour can be rough, though.
Almost there, little ones.

if i remember correctly, and i know i do... there is a PERFECT place to stop for burgers just off the 101, called In-n-Out... and i might be crazy, and just a little jealous, but by the hamburger wrappers, ketchup cups, and red chairs.... i think you might know of that particular burger joint too... my god i've been out of the states too long.
