Fairyland Birthday

We took a chance this year on Julian's birthday party. In the past, his birthdays were small gatherings of close friends and family, tribe and neighbors. But this year, since Julian has been in school with close classmates, we thought it would be a good year for a real party with his peers. Now, our house is very small, and can not easily accommodate a dozen children and their parents. So we took a gamble, and planned on a Fairyland party. March is not the best time of year to throw an outdoor party, even in sunny California. We watched the weather ever so closely, and twice had to postpone. But the third time's a charm, and all but one child we invited was able to come! The Tias and Vicar came, the parents came, Teacher Kristi came. Not only was it not raining, but it was sunny and beautiful. Totally worth the wait. We missed the grandparents; both sets having come to celebrate, and both sets missing the Fairyland event. Fun, food and Fairyland enjoyed by all.
